Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (SCDSA) and Law Enforcement Managers’ Association (LEMA) To Host Sheriff Candidates’ Forum

Sacramento League of Women Voters to Conduct and Moderate Public Forum Televised by Access Sacramento

January 19, 2010 – Sacramento, CA. The SCDSA and LEMA announced today they will be hosting a Sheriff Candidates’ Forum.

The public forum will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 6:30PM – 8:00PM at the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors Chambers (700 H Street, Sacramento, CA). The event will be conducted and moderated by the Sacramento League of Women Voters and televised by Access Sacramento.

Access Sacramento will broadcast the forum in its entirety on the following dates/times.

Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 9:30PM
Sunday, January 31, 2010 @ 5:00PM

This candidates’ forum is offered to give the voting public an opportunity to see and meet the candidates. The attending public is availed the opportunity to examine each candidate’s platform and to cast a more informed vote in the June 2010 election.

The SCDSA represents 1,500 rank and file sergeants, deputies and non-sworn staff, and is the largest law enforcement association in Northern California. LEMA represents 100 managers in the Sheriff’s Department and managers in other law enforcement related fields throughout the County.
