FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association Endorses Captain Jim Cooper for Sacramento Sheriff Association Membership Votes Overwhelmingly for the 2010 Sheriff Candidate February 8, 2010 – Sacramento, CA. The Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association announced today its endorsement of Captain Jim Cooper for the 2010 Sacramento Sheriff race. After conducting the first ever Sheriff’s Candidate interview in November 2009 followed by a Sheriff’s Public Candidate forum, the Association members voted overwhelming to endorse Captain Jim Cooper for the upcoming 2010 Sheriff’s Election. “Captain Jim Cooper possesses both the proven leadership skills and the political savvy to guide the Sheriff’s Department in the coming years. Our membership has spoken and we are committed to seeing that Captain Cooper becomes the next elected Sheriff for Sacramento County,” stated Kevin Mickelson, President of Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association. “I am humbled and honored to have the support of the men and women I work with every single day," Captain Jim Cooper said.
