Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association Announces Election of New Officers and Board

Sacramento, CA. – February 14, 2008 –Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (SCDSA) announced today that Judge Pro-Tem for San Mateo County, Richard Romanski, presided over the installment and swearing in of the new Officers and Board of Directors for the 2008-2011 Term at a recent board meeting.

Elected officers include; President Kevin Mickelson, a 13 year department veteran and experienced and successful business owner, Vice President Bill Miller, a 21 year department veteran recently assigned as a detective in the warrant/fugitive detail, Treasurer Chet Stewart, a Sergeant assigned to the Main Jail, Assistant Treasurer Shaun Hampton, assigned as a K9 handler, Secretary Arturo Gonzalez, assigned to the Civil Division and Sergeant-at-Arms Jason Cvitanov, assigned as a detective in the homicide bureau.

Board members include; Roger Engelsgaard, Jeff Morace, Dan Cabral, Leslie Beach, Steve Lee, Kenny Lee, Steve Buccellato, Janet Roberts, Diedra Margetti, Todd Gooler, Brannon Polete and Mark Kuzmich.

“I am very pleased to have the opportunity to serve our membership as President and am extremely motivated to redirect and guide our association from our past and into the future,” stated Kevin Mickelson, President of Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association. “The entire board will work closely together to resolve any remaining issues from the prior administration and push forward to create an even stronger, more unified membership for the future,” added Mr. Mickelson.
