SCDSA Assists Whitney Little League With Dedication Ceremony
Deputies Union Provides Assistance with Dedication Ceremony
Sacramento, CA. – March 29, 2008 –Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (SCDSA) announced today a donation to Whitney Little League for their dedication ceremony at opening day. The Whitney Little League board sought SCDSA assistance in helping them offset costs associated with the construction and placement of a bronze plaque and monument that will be unveiled Saturday, March 29th at their opening ceremony and dedication event. The ceremony honors Scott Crouch, Jr., an 18 year old who was killed a week before last Christmas by a drunk driver and grew up playing in Whitney Little League and later at El Camino High School. "As parents, sons, daughters and law enforcement officers, our members' wanted to help the Crouch family dedicate this field in remembrance of their son and as a reminder of the devastating effects drunk driving can have," stated Kevin Mickelson, President of the Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs' Association.
